At Poddar Group of Institutions, we believe in providing a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students can connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications. In our Marketing Management classes, students are not just taught about product mix decisions and dimensions; they are immersed in the world of renowned brands and their strategies.
At Poddar International College, Poddar Management & Technical Campus, Poddar Business School, Ms. Jain, our esteemed faculty member, uses real-life examples and case studies of famous companies to illustrate product mix decisions and dimensions. This approach helps students understand how these concepts are applied in the real world and how they can impact a company's success. Recently, BBA students showcased their understanding of product lines by presenting on the product mix of various companies. Muskan Shekhawat presented on ITC, Pooja presented on Amul and its product lines, Jiya Tanwar presented on the TATA group, and Vikas Choudhary presented on Samsung's product mix and dimensions.
These presentations were not just academic exercises; they were opportunities for students to apply their knowledge and showcase their creativity. They analyzed the companies' product lines, identified key product mix decisions, and discussed the implications of these decisions on the companies' overall success. With the help of these illustrations, students were able to see how this concept is applied in the real corporate world. This endorsed them to connect theoretical notions with real-world scenarios, enhancing their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical life.
APPLICATION OF THEORETICAL CONCEPTS: AT Poddar by drawing and explaining product length, width, depth and consistency associated with the product line of their chosen company based on the theoretical concept Product Mix Decisions. Students acquired a deeper understanding of this concept through their efforts. This hands-on approach helped them comprehend how products are diversified in different sectors.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING: By engaging in this activity, students experienced how to express their views confidently to others, how to answer the questions if asked, to remain energetic in the presentation till end and last but not the least how to grab the attention of the audience. This approach provides them with valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by the companies scattered in different sectors with different products managing their product mix decisions effectively.
